Our humble beginnings began on January 1, 1974, when Walt and Violet Exline purchased the original Raleigh Pizza on Austin Peay Highway. Mr. and Mrs. Exline believed in their pizza - a Memphis-style unlike any other pizza out there. Each pizza was loaded edge to edge with fresh product and clocked in as the biggest, heaviest pizzas served anywhere this side of the Mississippi.
But their success didn't lie in their pizza alone. Mr. and Mrs. Exline took pride in the culture they fostered in their restaurants. Every employee and customer was treated like family when they walked through the doors. The company mission statement, "Where Quality Has Priority," applies to every facet of our business.
Over the next 30 years, the Exlines promoted their belief in achieving high ethical standards in operating their business, a competitive sense of urgency to deliver utmost customer service and product quality, and their belief that our people have the inherent desire and capacity to work effectively and independently to achieve success.
To this day, Exlines' Best Pizza in Town remains a family owned and operated business, dedicated to carrying out the mission and upholding the traditions that Mr. and Mrs. Exline began so many years ago.

Every Exlines' pizza starts with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. We grind and season our house blend mozzarella cheese every single day. Our sausage and beef is always fresh (never frozen!) and seasoned to perfection from a local Tennessee butcher. All of our veggies are chopped in house daily!
Our legendary pizzas are the HEAVIEST in Memphis- a large specialty pizza weighs a couple pounds! Each specialty pizza is loaded with fresh meats, veggies, and cheese. Our proprietary cooking process allows our pizzas to cook evenly to a nice golden brown finish. It takes a little longer, but quality takes time!
